RIGA, Feb 18 (LETA) - There are more municipalities of Kurzeme and Zemgale region among those municipalities with higher Covid-19 incidence than average in Latvia, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).

Jelgava, with 10,571.8 Covid-19 cases recorded per 100,000 population in the past two weeks currently has the highest Covid-19 incidence in Latvia. Kekava follows with 9,110 cases per 100,000 population. Covid-19 incidence exceeds 8,000 cases per 100,000 population also in Marupe, Olaine, Ropazi and Riga.

Latvia's cumulative two-week number of Covid-19 cases has risen to 7,120.5 per 100,000 population. Covid-19 incidence exceeds Latvia's average also the municipalities of Salaspils and Jurmala.

Of the 10,285 Covid-19 cases recorded in Latvia in the past 24 hours, 38 percent, or 3,863 cases, have been registered in Riga.
