For Latvia's Development paid more than EUR 0.5 million for pre-election campaign
Riga, July 14 (LETA) - The political party For Latvia's Development has spent EUR 522,585 on the local elections campaign, according to the party's statement on revenues and expenditures for the local elections.
The party's total income was EUR 316,747. Of this, EUR 33,237 were received as membership or joining fees, EUR 209,469 as financial donations and EUR 7,639 as other donations. Other income amounted to EUR 66,402.
The largest expenditure related to the production of all types of promotional material - EUR 99,680. Advertising on the Internet amounted to EUR 56,891, in public places to EUR 117,578, on commercial radio to EUR 46,531 and on commercial television to EUR 2,178. Advertising in newspapers, magazines, newsletters and other periodicals which are produced in print and widely distributed throughout the national territory amounted to EUR 5,924 and to EUR 1,888 in the territory of a single city or district.
EUR 35,610 were spent on the use of postal services and EUR 27,523 on the planning, preparation and organization of the electoral campaign. EUR 945 were spent on salaries and other payments to individuals involved in the campaign, and EUR 2,377 on financing charitable activities.
Other election-related expenditure amounted to EUR 125,459.
Pre-election expenditure subject to the restrictions of the Law on the Financing of Political Organizations (Parties) amounted to EUR 233,367.
