Abu Meri impressed with efficiency of Rezekne Hospital management
Riga, Jan 17 (LETA) - During a meeting with the management of the Rezekne regional hospital, Health Minister Hosams Abu Meri (New Unity) praised the effective management of the hospital, LETA was informed.
On Friday, Abu Meri paid a regional visit to Rezekne hospital together with representatives of the Health Ministry and the National Health Service to discuss current issues in the health sector.
During the visit, the delegation met with the management of Rezekne hospital and the interim administration of Rezekne municipality to discuss key issues, including the new hospitalization plan, the availability of healthcare services in the region, and the financing of medical institutions in 2025. They also discussed cooperation with the Emergency Medical Service, as well as the impact of the ministry's reforms and planned reforms on healthcare facilities and patients.
In assessing the results and achievements of the Rezekne hospital, the minister acknowledged that its results clearly demonstrate the importance of effective management and targeted development in order to ensure the highest quality and accessibility of healthcare in the regions.
"Rezekne Hospital is a good example of how a well-thought-out resource planning, innovative approach, targeted investments in infrastructure and strong teamwork can ensure not only the availability and quality of healthcare services, but also contribute to the sustainable development of the health sector in the regions," the politician stressed.
According to Firmas.lv, the hospital's turnover in 2023 was EUR 22,547,084 and its profit EUR 8,617.
