Joint list of National Alliance, Latvia's Green Party and Greens/Farmers wins elections in Ogre municipality
Riga, June 8 (LETA) - The joint list of the National Alliance, Latvia's Green Party and the Union of Greens and Farmers has won the municipal elections in Ogre municipality.
The Latvian Association of Regions, Movement For and the joint list of the New Conservative Party, the New Unity and the Vidzeme Party were also elected to Ogre regional council, according to data published by the Central Election Commission (CVK).
The joint list of the National Alliance received 46.09 percent of the votes or 12 out of 23 seats, the Latvian Association of Regions won 15.97 percent or four seats, For/New Conservative Party won 10.73 percent or three seats, the Vidzeme Party won 10.02 percent or two seats, and the New Unity - 8.04 percent or two seats.
The other parties in Ogre have not overcome the 5 percent barrier, according to preliminary data.
According to the CVK, 51.06 percent of eligible voters in Ogre participated in the municipal elections.
