New Unity takes one-quarter of vote in Cesis Region
RIGA, Oct 2 (LETA) - 6,058 or 25.62 percent of voters in Cesis Region voted for Unity in the 14th Saeima elections, according to the Central Election Commission.
The Union of Greens and Farmers is second in the region with 13.91 percent of the vote, while the United List is third with 13.5 percent of the vote.
11.05 percent of voters in Cesis Region cast their votes for the National Alliance, 8.73 percent for Development/For, and 6.56 percent for the Progressives.
No other party managed to clear the 5 percent threshold in Cesis Region.
In total, 23,681 citizens went to polling stations in Cesis Region, raising voter turnout to 69.53 percent.
