RIGA, June 16 (LETA) - Covid-19 vaccination points will be opened in three shopping centers in Riga - Galleria Riga, Galerija Centrs and Domina - on Friday, June 18, Eva Juhnevica, head of the Vaccination Project Division of the National Health Service, told reporters.

As of today, it is already possible to pre-register for vaccination, and it is envisaged that it will be possible to vaccinate at these vaccination points in the future without pre-registration.

Later, on June 21, three more vaccination points will start operating in other shopping centers, including the Alfa and Akropole shopping center in Riga, and in Liepaja at the XL Sala shopping center. On June 28, a vaccination point will be opened in the shopping center Riga Plaza.

At the same time, vaccination points are being established in a number of other shopping centers, including Origo, Olimpia, SAGA, Sky & More, Mols, Ozols, as well as regional shopping centers - Korso in Jurmala and Ditton House in Daugavpils.

In order to promote efficient use of resources, it is planned to replace both National Vaccination Centers  at the ATTA Center and the Kipsala Hall - with an extensive vaccination network throughout Latvia with at least 25 new vaccination points, according to an informative report prepared by the Ministry of Health.
