Three Rezekne council members who were suspended for not having Covid-19 certificate have been vaccinated and returned to work
RIGA, Jan 4 (LETA) - Three Rezekne City Council members who were not vaccinated against Covid-19 and were suspended from the municipality have by now been vaccinated and resumed work at the city council, while councilwoman Lidija Ostapceva (Harmony), whose mandate was also suspended as she did not have a Covid-19 certificate, has resigned.
The three Rezekne City Council members whose mandates have been renewed are Olga Strode (Harmony), Inara Groce (Latgale Party, National Alliance, Latvian Green Party, New Unity, Latvian Association of Regions) and Kristine Kokorevica (Harmony).
"All the councilors who had their mandates suspended have completed the vaccination process and resumed work at the city council, except for Lidija Ostapceva, who has voluntarily decided step down," the council's spokeswoman Marina Sokolova told LETA.
