Number of passengers transported by buses and trains on regional routes decreases 15.4% in Q1

RIGA, May 20 (LETA) - In the first quarter of 2022, a total of 4.59 million passengers were transported by regional buses and trains, which is 45.2 percent more than in the respective period last year, the Road Transport Administration told LETA.
Compared to the first quarter of 2020, the number of passengers dropped by 28 percent.
In the first three months of this year, 2.83 million passengers were carried by trains, up 47.4 percent from the respective period in 2021, and down 24.3 percent from the respective period in 2020.
