749 people immunized against Covid-19 on Wednesday
RIGA, Jan 7 (LETA) - 749 persons were immunized against Covid-19 on Wednesday, while in total, 4,595 people have been vaccinated in Latvia so far, according to the National Health Service's data.
As reported, Latvia has received 23,400 Comirnaty vaccines from Pfizer and BioNTech, meant for a total of 11,700 people as the vaccination requires two doses. This means that 39.27 percent of those who were supposed to be immunized with these vaccines have been immunized so far, according to LETA estimates.
The highest number of people immunized in one day - 888 - was registered on January 5.
Yesterday, 200 people got the Covid-19 vaccine in Riga Eastern Clinical University Hospital, 125 in Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital, 120 in Liepaja Regional Hospital, 99 in Children's Clinical University Hospital, 46 in Kuldiga Hospital, 42 in Vidzeme Hospital, 30 in Jelgava Hospital, 25 in Northern Kurzeme Regional Hospital, 20 in Daugavpils Regional Hospital, 15 in Jekabpils Regional Hospital, 12 in Bauska Hospital, ten in Rezekne Hospital and five in Riga Hospital No. 2.
According to publicly available information, Latvia has ordered 97,500 doses of the Comirnaty vaccine, which would be enough to inoculate 48,750 people.
