About one tenth of Balvi county residents participate in crowd testing for Covid-19
RIGA, March 15 (LETA) - About one tenth of Balvi county residents participated in the crowd testing, the county chairman Aigars Puspurs (Latvian Farmers Union) confirmed to LETA.
He said that residents' responsiveness has been good as slightly more than 10 percent of the residents participated in the testing, which is enough to understand the overall situation.
In 13 sites for receiving and submitting Covid-19 test samples, 1,599 tests were distributed and 1,594 tests were returned.
He said that the crowd testing has revealed new Covid-19 cases. The local governments will continue testing of municipal institutions' employees and residents.
As reported, crowd testing with saliva samples were organized in Gulbene and Balvi region due to a significant Covid-19 outbreak.
