Riga, Oct 28 (LETA) - Rigas Udens water utility plans to increase tariffs for water management services in the coming years, according to the draft tariffs submitted by the company to the Public Utilities Commission.
The water supply tariff is planned to increase from the current EUR 1.27 per cubic meter to EUR 1.28 from next year (+0.79 percent) and to EUR 1.30 per cubic meter (+1.56 percent) from June 2026.
The sewerage tariff is to be increased from the current EUR 1.03 per cubic meter to EUR 1.06 from next year (+2.91 percent) and to EUR 1.09 per cubic meter (+2.83 percent) from June 2026.
The change in the current tariffs is due to an increase in capital costs, the company said.
As reported, in 2023, Rigas Udens posted EUR 76.448 million in turnover, up 16.3 percent from 2023, while the company's profit rose 45.9 percent to EUR 7.533 million.
