More than EUR 1 million to be paid to four municipalities for damage caused by July storm
Riga, Nov 10 (LETA) - More than EUR 1 million are planned to be paid to four municipalities to compensate for the damage caused by the July storm, according to a draft government decree submitted for approval and available on the legislation portal.
The Smart Administration and Regional Development Ministry will be allocated EUR 1,069,256 from the contingency funds.
Of these funds, it is planned to allocate EUR 929,894 to Jurmala municipality, EUR 38,820 to Ogre municipality, EUR 42,888 to Olaine municipality and EUR 57,654 to Tukums municipality.
As reported earlier, the government approved allocation of EUR 2.56 million to the municipalities of Aluksne, Dobele, Jelgava, Jurmala and Riga.
At the end of July, Latvia experienced storms and heavy rains, which caused significant damage in the municipalities.
