The official informed that the list of priority roads to be built under the Administrative Territorial Reform (ATR) identified more than 1,000 kilometers (km) of national regional and local roads, the construction of which would require EUR 300 million.

In 2021, EUR 91.91 million were allocated from the contingency funds to build the priority roads, of which around EUR 72 million were actually spent.

In December 2022, EUR 111.68 million were allocated from the European Union's Recovery Fund for road reconstruction, as well as EUR 23.79 million from the national budget.

Between 2020 and 2022, a total of 482 kilometers of national regional and local roads have been rebuilt or renovated with state budget funds.
