Local governments will be able to use resources for Ukrainian refugees more freely
RIGA, May 31 (LETA) - Local government will be able to use the funds allocated by the state for support to Ukrainian refugees more freely, according to the government's legislative amendments adopted today.
The total sum for this goal remains the same - EUR 12,997,832, but the distribution rules have been changed, thus local governments will be able to choose how exactly to spend these funds.
The state support to local governments has been allocated to help to cover costs for refugee accommodation, food, social support, education and other services.
