Authorities have visited Jelgava real estate administration earlier this week
RIGA, May 27 (LETA) - Authorities have been to Jelgava municipal company Jelgavas Nekustama Ipasuma Parvalde (Jelgava Real Estate Administration) earlier this week, Jelgava City Council confirmed to LETA.
The company continues operations as usual, said Jelgava City Council's representative Liga Klismeta.
The local government has received no official information so far. The council also declined to comment on whereabouts of the company's board member Juris Vidzis.
Vidzis' telephone is switched off and he is not at work today.
The State Police's press officer Simona Gravite told LETA that the State Police carried out searches at several locations across Latvia on Thursday. No further information will be released at the moment so as not to impede the investigation.
According to Firmas.lv, Vidzus began working at Jelgavas Nekustama Ipasuma Parvalde in 2000 as the company's deputy director.
The company's turnover last year amounted to EUR 4.009 million and profit to EUR 17,613.
