Several hospitals face maximum occupancy of Covid-19 beds
RIGA, March 1 (LETA) - Several hospitals in Latvia face maximum occupancy of Covid-19 beds, according to the Health Ministry's data.
In a week, the number of reprofiled Covid-19 beds increased by 3 percent - to 1,263. Covid-19 patients are also being treated in other wards and specialized hospitals.
In total, the occupancy of Covid-19 beds in Latvian hospitals is 76 percent, while occupancy of emergency beds is 65 percent.
Still, there are several hospitals, such as Jelgava Hospital, Ludza Medical Center, Talsi branch of Ziemelkurzeme Regional Hospital, where occupancy of Covid-19 beds is over 100 percent.
The occupancy over 90 percent was reported in Pauls Stradins University Hospital, Tukums Hospital, hospital Gintermuica, Strenci Psychoneurological Hospital, Riga Psychiatric and Narcology Center.
