Clients still owe Rigas Siltums EUR 9.45 million from this past heating season
RIGA, June 1 (LETA) - Clients of joint-stock Riga municipal heat supply company Rigas Siltums still owe the company EUR 9.45 million from delivered heat this past heating season, the company's board member Birute Kruze said during a press conference today.
In total, the company has invoiced EUR 206.71 million. Of these, 197.26 million euros or 95.43 percent have been paid.
At the same time, EUR 9.45 million or 4.57 percent remained unpaid.
According to Kruze, most of the debts are related to the buildings managed by the municipal building management SIA Rigas Namu Parvaldnieks (RNP). Although she did not specify the exact amount owed by RNP's customers, she stated that they were usually between 70 percent to 80 percent of the total amount owed.
As reported, the company's turnover for the financial year 2020/2021 was EUR 146.5 million, which is 4 percent or EUR 5.4 million less than a year earlier.
The company's profit was EUR 5.4 million, which is 66 percent or EUR 10.2 million less than in the previous period.
