Four former ministers, four councilors and Jaunups on For Latvia's Development list for Riga City Council elections
Riga, April 3 (LETA) - The list of the party For Latvia's Development for the Riga City Council elections includes four former ministers, four lawmakers of the Riga City Council and the party's senior member Edgars Jaunups.
Juris Puce, who once headed the Environmental Protection and Regional Development Ministry, is number one on the list. He is followed by Vjaceslavs Dombrovskis, former economics minister and education and science minister, and Anita Muizniece, former education and science minister.
Another former environmental protection and regional development minister Arturs Toms Pless is number nine on the list.
Riga City lawmakers Anete Jekabsone-Zogota, Viesturs Zeps, Ieva Brante and Iveta Ratinika are number four, five, six and eight respectively.
For Latvia's Development promises to restore Riga's status as the leading Baltic metropolis, to ensure that the capital's population grows again, and that by 2028 Riga will return to the leading position among the Baltic capitals in all key indicators.
The party has identified the priorities as improving transport infrastructure, cutting the red tape, attracting private investment, improving the quality of public services and reducing heating prices, security, etc.
