Ventspils Siltums to implement project on reduction of air polluting emission for EUR 2.56 million
Riga, Nov 27 (LETA) - Ventspils Siltums will implement a project to reduce emissions of air pollutants for EUR 2.56 million, Daiga Altenburga, the company's public relations specialist, told LETA.
On November 21, Ventspils Siltums signed an agreement with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFLA) on the implementation of the project "Installation of air pollutant emission reduction equipment in the district heating plant", which will be co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The project is expected to result in a reduction of 9.45 tons of dust particle emissions per year.
The project is expected to be completed by March 20, 2026.
The total planned cost of the project is EUR 2,557,086, including ERDF co-financing of 35.97 percent of the eligible project costs, up to a maximum of EUR 919,656.
