One of priorities for next year's budget in Bauska municipality will be transformation of degraded areas
Riga, Nov 7 (LETA) - One of the priorities of the 2025 municipal budget in Bauska municipality will be the transformation of degraded areas, LETA learned from the municipality.
The aim of the municipal budget is to allocate the projected available financial resources for the performance and development of the municipality's functions and tasks in accordance with the directions of action, priorities, tasks, action plan and investment plan set out in its development planning documents.
According to the development planning documents of the Bauska municipality, the priority for the coming year is to attract funding from the European Union and other financial instruments and to provide municipal co-financing for the implementation of new and high-readiness projects. Implementation of energy efficiency improvement projects and measures will also be one of the key tasks.
The rehabilitation of degraded areas, the renovation, reconstruction or restoration of dilapidated municipal buildings and unsafe buildings are also identified as a budgetary priority. The municipality also plans to ensure that the costs of preparing or updating documentation for new projects are financed.
