RIGA, Dec 7 (LETA) - The police have stopped a party in an apartment in Kuldiga and discovered illegal gathering of people in an apartment in Liepaja, LETA learned from State Police representative Madara Sersnova.

In the time period between December 4 until December 6, State Police Kurzeme regional department officials have started 43 administrative offense processes for violation of restrictions during the state of emergency. Of them, 38 processes were about a fact that Latvian and Lithuanian residents, entering Latvia in Rucava, Priekule and Saldus counties, had failed to fill in covidpass.lv.

According to Sersnova, in one case, police received information about a private party held in an apartment in Kuldiga with participation of 12 young people from different households, ignoring the epidemiological safety measures.

Liepaja department officials have launched four processes on people from several households gathering in one apartment in Liepaja.

Also, the police conducted raids to make sure that the new retail restrictions are not breached during weekend, and that buyers are wearing masks. No breaches were discovered in this respect.

The State Police Kurzeme regional department officials have started in total 80 administrative offense processes from the start of the state of emergency until December 6 on breaches of epidemiological restrictions.
