Pupils of grades 7-12 in Riga to continue remote learning until November 22
RIGA, Nov 12 (LETA) - In-person school attendance in Riga will resume on November 15 for pupils of grades 7-12, said Riga City Council education, culture and sports department head Maris Krastins.
He said that pupils of grades 1-3 will continue in-person school attendance, pupils of grades 4-6 will return to schools, while pupils of grades 7-12 will continue remote learning until November 22.
He said that during a discussion with school directors the issue was raised that also pupils of grades 4-6 should continue remote learning until November 22, but the government's decisions do not allow it.
Krastins said that such a decision has been made in order to ensure that pupils still spend another week in the "family bubble", without meeting each other, thus, reducing the incidence curve even more.
