Express care clinic opens in Adazi

RIGA, Mar 9 (LETA) - Minute Clinic company has opened an express care clinic, 1 min. klinika, at a Viada gas filling station in Adazi, investing EUR 100,000 in the project, the company's representatives informed LETA.

Minute Clinic representative Dace Vesterdale said that the company plans to open at least 15 such express care clinics, at first in municipalities outside Riga: Jurmala, Pinki, Marupe, Salaspils and Kekava, and later also in other cities and towns of Latvia. After that, the company plans to expand its network of express care clinics in Latvia's regions. The next clinic is due to open in the next three months.

The first 1 min. klinika offers to provide instant outpatient care to the patients. After registering the appointment, the patient will be able to receive medical services on the same day. The clinic will be open from 7:00 to 23:00, seven days a week, including on holidays.

1 min. klinika has been set up at the filling station and thus can be easily reached by car, which can be conveniently parked for free.

Minute Clinic board member and author of the business idea, Ramona Mezale, said that the company has carefully weighed epidemiological safety issues which are especially important during the Covid-19 pandemic. Patients' motor vehicles will be the waiting room, so they will be able to avoid contacts with other visitors. Information about the availability of the clinic's rooms will be displayed on monitors outside the clinic, and the patients will see how much time has been left to their appointment.

1 min. klinika will be providing diagnostical and medical services in case of urgent but not life-threatening health issues, as well as vaccination, collection of test samples and other services.

Minute Care, registered in July 2020, has a share capital of EUR 30,100, according to information available at Firmas.lv. The company belongs to Mezale (51 percent), Daira Jonase (19 percent), Nauris Grosu (15 percent) and Kristaps Ronis (15 percent).
