Occupancy of Covid-19 beds reaches more than 90% in several hospitals
RIGA, march 15 (LETA) - Occupancy of Covid-19 beds has reached more than 90 percent in several hospitals, according to the Health Ministry's data.
In a week, the number of reprofiled Covid-19 beds decreased by 4 percent - to 1,116. Covid-19 patients are also being treated in other wards and specialized hospitals.
In total, the occupancy of Covid-19 beds in Latvian hospitals is 74 percent, while occupancy of emergency beds is 42 percent.
Still, there are several hospitals, such as Jelgava Hospital, Vidzeme Hospital where occupancy of Covid-19 beds is 93 percent, Rezekne Hospital and Liepaja Regional Hospital report 92 percent occupancy, and Daugavpils Psychoneurological Hospital - 91 percent.
