RIGA, Feb 5 (LETA) - Out of the 876 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia over the past 24 hours, 35 percent were recorded in Riga, but a relatively high number of cases were reported also in Daugavpils and Jurmala, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).

Riga registered 309 new Covid-19 cases, which brought the capital city's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases to 3,578.

The cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in Daugavpils reached 711, with 54 cases recorded in the past 24 hours.

In Jurmala, the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases grew to 314, with 45 new cases registered in the past 24 hours.

Another 35 Covid-19 cases were discovered in Jelgava, 25 in Liepaja, 24 in Aluksne county, and 19 in Gulbene county, and 19 in Olaine county.

Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is now 560.4.
