NATO soldiers to be transported from Adazi to military exercise in Ventspils by helicopters next week
RIGA, Aug 8 (LETA) - August 11 to 16, the NATO Multinational Brigade in Latvia will be transporting soldiers from the military base in Adazi to the military training area in Ventspils by helicopters, the brigade headquarters' public relations department informed LETA.
August 11 to 16, residents living in and near Ventspils may experience increased noise levels when Canadian Air Force's Griffon helicopters will be taking off and landing at the military training area, where soldiers of NATO Multinational Brigade, together with the National Armed Forces soldiers, will participate in shooting exercises.
The NATO Multinational Brigade in Latvia and the National Armed Forces jointly participate in military exercises. The presence of NATO forces in Latvia ensures collective defense and strengthens the alliance's readiness to respond to potential threats.
