RIGA, Jan 26 (LETA) - Out of the 693 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia over the past 24 hours, 34 percent were recorded in Riga, while incidence in Daugavpils, Rezekne and Jelgava county also has risen, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).

The 236 new cases discovered in Riga brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the Latvian capital to 3,404. In Daugavpils, 53 new cases brought the 14-day number of Covid-19 cases to 848.

In Rezekne, the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases reached 296, with 29 cases discovered in the past 24 hours.

Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is now 584.3.
