Jensen Metal builds stainless steel plant for EUR 8.6 million in Liepaja
RIGA, April 4 (LETA) - Jensen Metal has built a stainless steel production plant in Liepaja Economic Zone (Liepaja SEZ), LETA was told at Liepaja SEZ.
The new production plant has been built next to the existing Jensen's existing metal and fittings plant and its size is 13,500 square meters. The project, commissioned by JM Properties, was designed by LVCT and built by Bukoteks construction company.
Construction of the Jensen Metal plant cost EUR 8.6 million, and roughly EUR 4 million have been invested in equipment.
Both plants together employ around 430 people in Liepaja.
Jensen Metal, registered in 2004, has a share capital of EUR 201,640, according to information from Firmas.lv. The company's sole owner is Denmark's Jensen Metal Holding.
Jensen Metal makes food production and agricultural equipment as well as fittings components.
