RIGA, Mar 4 (LETA) - Of the 646 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past 24 hours, 32 percent have been recorded in Riga, while many cases have been registered also in Daugavpils and Liepaja, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).

The 206 new cases discovered in Riga brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the Latvian capital to 3,068.

The cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in Daugavpils rose to 469, with 42 cases confirmed in the past 24 hours.

Liepaja registered another 36 Covid-19 cases and its cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases rose to 333.

Jelgava recorded 27 new Covid-19 cases, Ventspils 22, the Olaine region 20, the Salaspils region 13 and Jurmala 15 new coronavirus cases. 

Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is currently 488.4, according to LETA's estimates.
