Rigas Udens water utility tariffs to increase by 1,7% on average from January
Riga, Nov 25 (LETA) - The decision of the Public Utilities Commission (SPRK) published in the official gazette Latvijas Vestnesis shows that the tariffs for water management services will increase by 1.7 percent on average from January 1, 2025.
The tariff for water supply services of Rigas Udens will increase by 0.8 percent - from EUR 1.27 per cubic meter without value added tax (VAT) to EUR 1.28 per cubic meter. The sewerage tariff will increase by 2.9 percent from EUR 1.03 per cubic meter to EUR 1.06 per cubic meter, excluding VAT.
The respective tariffs for water management services will be effective from January 1, 2025.
As reported, in 2023, Rigas Udens turnover was EUR 76.448 million, which is 16.3 percent more than in 2022, while the company's profit increased by 45.9 percent and amounted to EUR 7.533 million.
Rigas Udens provides water supply services in Riga and several areas of the Riga region - Adazi, Ropazi, Marupe and Kekava, as well as wastewater collection and treatment services. The company is wholly owned by the Riga municipality.
