RIGA, Sept 2 (LETA) - Out of the 340 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia over the past 24 hours, 112 cases were recorded in Riga, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).

The 112 new cases discovered in Riga brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the Latvian capital to 882.

Valmiera municipality reported 15 new Covid-19 cases, Limbazi, Madona and Ropazi municipalities reported 13 cases each, Jelgava - 11 cases, Aizkraukle, Adazi municipalities, Daugavpils and Marupe municipality - ten each and a number of other municipalities reported fewer cases.

Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population rose to 147.6.
