Local Government Finance Equalization Fund's revenue planned at EUR 241 million in 2025
RIGA, Nov 13 (LETA) - In 2025, revenue in Latvia's Local Government Finance Equalization Fund are planned at EUR 246,164,957, or 9 percent higher than this year, according to a draft government regulation on the distribution of the fund's revenue prepared by the Finance Ministry.
The Local Government Finance Equalization Fund's revenue will consist of a EUR 50,630 subsidy from the government budget and local governments' contributions worth EUR 195,534,102.
In 2025, contributions to the Local Government Finance Equalization Fund will be made by two cities - Riga and Jurmala - as well as seven municipalities.
Riga's contribution is planned at EUR 138,641,872, or 15.7 percent of personal income tax revenue, while Jurmala's contribution is projected at EUR 9,309,302, or 13 percent of personal income tax revenue.
The municipalities also expected to make contributions to the Local Government Finance Equalization Fund are Adazi, Kekava, Marupe, Olaine, Ropazi, Salaspils, and Saulkrasti.
