RIGA, Feb 15 (LETA) - For Latvia's Development will mostly run on an independent list for the upcoming municipal elections, but in some municipalities strong joint tickets will be formed with Growth, Vidzeme Party and Latgale Party, LETA learned from the party.
For the upcoming elections, the party will draw up 27 tickets. The candidates on the lists will include experienced politicians, professionals of different sectors who have decided to participate in development of their county.
"After the good results at the Saeima and snap Riga City Council elections and the successful work on the administrative territorial reform, achieving change of the coalition in the capital, work in the Environment Protection and Regional Development Ministry, the number of the party's members and supporters keeps growing every week," the party's representatives reported.
MEP Ivars Ijabs underscored that the party is not afraid to take up the difficult tasks that cannot be completed in a day.
For Latvia's Development party in the upcoming municipal elections will be represented by eight current chairmen of local councils.
For Latvia's Development is one of the two largest parties represented in the For Development/For bloc at the Latvian parliament.
