Five municipalities to receive EUR 174,000 in compensations for rain damage
Riga, Sept 7 (LETA) - The government plans to allocate EUR 174,345 to five municipalities to compensate for the damage caused by this summer's rains, according to a draft government decree submitted for approval on the Legal Acts Portal.
The draft draft decree on the financing of municipal infrastructure objects is to be transferred from contingency funds to the Smart Administration and Regional Development Ministry to cover expenses related to repairing damage to infrastructure objects caused by heavy rainfall this summer.
The largest amount of EUR 77,937 is planned to be allocated to the municipality of Augddaugava. The municipality of Kraslava will receive EUR 30,880, the municipality of Jekabpils - EUR 26,291, the municipality of Aluksne - EUR 24,674 and the municipality of Rezekne - EUR 14,563.
As reported earlier, the government granted EUR 324,107 to three municipalities for rain damage in July this year
