British duo Hurts to perform in Sigulda

RIGA, Aug 14 (LETA) - British duo Hurts will perform at the Sigulda Castle ruins stage tonight at 20:00, LETA was informed by Liva Tonina, a representative of the event organizers.

As there are quite extensive road repairs on the A2 motorway before Sigulda, as well as in the town of Sigulda, the organizers warn about the possibility of traffic jams and ask people to consider going to the concert via the A3 motorway, which runs through Ragana and Turaida.

The debut album Happiness by Manchester duo Hurts was released in August 2010. The album's lead singles Stay, Wonderful Life, Better Than Love, Illuminated, Blood, Tears & Gold are still in radio rotation.

According to the duo Hurts, 2025 marks the 15th anniversary of their debut album Happiness. To celebrate this achievement, Hurts has put together a special concert program based on the songs from Happiness. They will be complemented by the band's best-known hits from other albums.

Hurts was founded in Manchester in 2009 by vocalist Theo Hutchcraft and multi-instrumentalist Adam Anderson. Since the release of their debut record in 2010, Happiness has sold more than 2 million copies in total, placing the album in the top ten or higher in the charts in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Finland, Luxembourg and other countries.

The band's success has been bolstered by subsequent albums - 2013's Exile, 2015's Surrender, 2017's Desire and 2020's Faith. The band has also won numerous music and video awards.
