RIGA, Jan 20 (LETA) - Saeima today in the final reading adopted amendments to the Saeima election law, stipulating that Varaklanu municipality will be included in the Vidzeme polling region.

MP Ilga Suplinska though suggested to include Varaklani municipality to the Latgale polling region, but this proposal was not supported.

The adopted amendments are temporary and in force for the upcoming Saeima elections because the next Saeima will have to decide on affiliation of Varaklani municipality to Vidzeme or Latgale.
