Meetings with relatives resume at Riga's municipal nursing homes
RIGA, June 15 (LETA) - As of Tuesday, June 15, residents of Riga's municipal nursing homes Gailezers, Mezciems and Stella Maris are again allowed to meet with their relatives, LETA was told at the Riga City Hall's press service.
Visits to the nursing homes had been banned for about a year because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Those clients of nursing homes that have been fully vaccinated or have recovered from Covid-19 and relatives that have valid Covid-19 certificates are allowed to meet privately without physical distancing or wearing facemasks.
However, in cases where a visitor cannot or does not want to present a valid Covid-19 certificate or a nursing home client has not been fully vaccinated or has not had Covid-19, the meetings can take place in the presence of a nursing home employee, keeping the two-meter distance and using a mouth and nose cover.
Relatives are required to inform the nursing homes in advance of the date and time of their visits and have the necessary documents ready to present them before the meeting.
