Tukums municipal budget revenue down by 11% from 2020
RIGA, Feb 8 (LETA) - In 2021, Tukums county municipal budget will have by 11 percent lower revenue than last year, LETA learned from the Tukums local council spokesman Janis Tomels.
The total budget revenue is planned at EUR 38.3 million, while expenditure is projected at EUR 40.2 million. The difference will be covered from the surplus in last year's budget. The local council closed last year with almost EUR 4.5 million in surplus.
As many as 41 percent of the total revenue will be revenue from personal income tax, 6 percent from property tax, and 47 percent from government budget transfers.
The planned expenditure is by 10 percent lower than last year's expenditure. EUR 117,411 will be spend on organizing the local elections this year, EUR 22.4 million have been earmarked for education, EUR 4.4 million for social protection, EUR 3.4 million for culture, sports and support to NGOs.
