Average occupancy of Covid-19 beds in Latvia's hospitals at 66% on Monday
RIGA, Feb 16 (LETA) - The occupancy of Covid-19 beds in Latvia's hospitals averaged at 66 percent on Monday, according to the data presented by the Emergency Medical Service at the joint meeting of the government and the Crisis Management Council.
The presentation does not include data on the Children's Clinical University Hospital, which also has beds designated for Covid-19 patients. In 17 of the inpatient facilities included in the presentation, the occupancy of Covid-19 beds exceeds 75 percent.
The highest bed occupancy - at 106 percent - has been reported in the Dobele Regional Hospital, and the occupancy of Covid-19 beds at the Balvi and Gulbene Hospital Association has reached 92 percent.
Meanwhile, 11 percent of Covid-19 beds in the Jurmala Hospital and 17 percent in the Ludza Medical Center are currently unoccupied. Bed occupancy has reached 84 percent in Vidzeme Hospital, 79 percent in Rezekne Hospital, 75 percent in the Jekabpils Regional Hospital and 79 percent in Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital.
