RIGA, Feb 21 (LETA) - The number of guests at Riga’s tourist facilities in 2021 dropped by 20.9 percent against a year before to 503,953, according to the Central Statistics Bureau (CSB).

The number of foreign guests at Riga's tourist facilities dropped by 33 percent to 319,565, while the number of local tourists increased by 14.9 percent to 184,388.

The number of nights spent by tourists in Riga hotels declined by 30 percent from 2020 to 959,662 nights. The number of nights spent by foreign tourists in Riga declined by 41.2 percent year-on-year to 608,862, while the number of nights spent by local tourists rose 4.39 percent to 350,800.
