Heating tariff in Marupe to increase 68.9% effective March
RIGA, Feb 2 (LETA) - Heating tariff in Marupe will increase 68.9 percent effective March, according to public utilities company Marupes Komunalie Pakalpojumi's draft tariff submitted to the Public Utilities Commission.
At the moment, the heating tariff in Marupe is EUR 75.35 per megawatt-hour (MWh), made up of heat production tariff of EUR 64.53 per MWh, transmission and distribution tariff of EUR 8.34 per MWh, trade tariff of EUR 0.37 per MWh and the excise tax of EUR 2.11 per MWh.
From March 1, heat production tariff is to increase by 74.1 percent to EUR 112.35 per MWh, transmission and distribution tariff will increase 49.4 percent to EUR 12.46 per MWh, while trade tariff and excise tax will remain unchanged. The final tariff will therefore be EUR 127.29 per MWh, which is 68.9 percent more than now.
The increase is due to the increase in natural gas prices, which Marupes Komunalie Pakalpojumi expects to rise 94.8 percent.
Marupes Komunalie Pakalpojumi was registered in 1993, the company's share cApiteal is EUR 13.748 million, according to Firmas.lv. In 2020, the company posted EUR 2.66 million in turnover and EUR 8,720 in profit.
Marupes Komunalie Pakalpojumi belongs to Marupe Region Council.
