So far, one tenth of employees at Daugavpils hospital have voiced wish to receive Covid-19 vaccines
RIGA, Dec 28 (LETA) - So far just 10 percent of employees of Daugavpils hospital have voiced readiness to receive Covid-19 vaccines, said Daugavpils Regional Hospital's board member Grigorijs Semjonovs.
The hospital plans to initially vaccinate 75 Emergency Medical Service employees and 100 hospital employees.
The survey on vaccination at the hospital is still ongoing, and so far just 10 percent of respondents voiced a wish to receive the vaccines. Semjonovs said that support to vaccines had been even lower earlier, but he voiced hopes that more colleagues will choose the vaccines. "We are distributing information, explaining that this opportunity should be used," he said.
As reported, today, Covid-19 vaccination has been started in ten vaccination rooms in Latvian hospitals.
The first vaccines were delivered to Latvia on Saturday. The first delivery contains 9,750 doses of the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine. The vaccines are stored frozen at minus 75 degrees centigrade.
