Riga City Council delegation to visit sister city Bremen

Riga, April 23 (LETA) - A Riga City Council delegation will visit the sister city of Bremen, the Riga City Council External Communications Department informed LETA.
Riga and the German city of Bremen are celebrating the 40th anniversary of their twinning this year, and to mark the occasion, a delegation from the capital city headed by Deputy Speaker of the City Council Linda Ozola (Code For Riga) will visit Bremen.
During her visit, Ozola will meet with the Mayor of Bremen and the President of the Bremen Parliament to discuss further cooperation in the fields of digitalization, culture, education, security, as well as strengthening economic ties between the two cities.
The delegation of the Latvian capital will include the Ambassador of Latvia to Germany Alda Vanaga, the Director of the Riga Digital Agency Arnis Gulbis, as well as representatives from the Department of Education, Culture and Sport and the Riga Investment and Tourism Agency.
The official twinning of the two cities began on February 15, 1985, with the signing of a twinning agreement.
