Hesburger invests EUR 1.5 million in company's new restaurant in Cesis
RIGA, Sept 13 (LETA) - Finnish-Baltic fast food company Hesburger has invested EUR 1.5 million in the company's new restaurant in Cesis, LETA was told at the company.
The new Hesburger restaurant in Cesis is the company's 50th eatery in Latvia.
The two-story building has 270.9 square meters of floor space, an outdoor terrace and a drive-in.
Hesburger marketing and development director Ieva Salmela indicated that the new Hesburger restaurant has provided 20 new jobs in Cesis but that in time their number might grow to 25.
As reported, Hesburger reported EUR 33.1 million in Latvian sales for 2021, which is an increase of 8.5 percent against a year before.
The fast-food chain's sales in all three Baltic states came to EUR 99.7 million last year, with the Latvian market accounting for the largest part of that amount. Compared to 2020, sales in Lithuania grew by slightly less than 14 percent to over EUR 36 million. Sales in Estonia rose 13 percent to over EUR 30.5 million.
