    Anspaks re-elected Salaspils mayor

Riga, June 25 (LETA) - The Salaspils municipal council on Wednesday re-elected the incumbent Salaspils Mayor Raivis Anspaks (New Unity).

As reported, the New Unity lost some of its support in the Salaspils municipal elections.

If in the 2021 elections the New Unity won eight seats out of 15, in these elections it has five seats.

34.46 percent of voters voted for New Unity. The joint list of the National Alliance and the Union of Greens and Farmers received almost 24.3 percent of the votes and won four seats.

In total, five lists were elected to the local council. Latvia's Green Party won 13.4 percent of the votes, Latvia First - 9.7 percent, and the Sovereign Power/New Latvians list - 11.25 percent. These lists won two seats each.
