Pulsar Optics plans EUR 5.1 million investments in projects in Latgale SEZ
RIGA, May 31 (LETA) - JSC Pulsar Optics high tech company plans to invest EUR 5.1 million in projects that will be implemented in Latgale Special Economic Zone (SEZ), LETA was told at the Liepaja SEZ.
To promote a faster development of production and infrastructure in Latgale province, as well as to promote job creation, the Latgale SEZ Supervisory Commission decided to grant Pulsar Optics, a subsidiary of Lithuania high tech company Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide, the status of Latgale SEZ capital company.
Since 2021, Pulsar Optics makes thermal and night vision equipment for civilian purposes at its production plant in Daugavpils and exports its products to Europe, the UK and the US.
Pulsar Optics plans to invest EUR 5.1 million in its projects planned in the territory of Latgale SEZ, creating 112 new jobs in Daugavpils.
The company plans to spend EUR 2.03 million on new production equipment and adjusting premises for casting and mechanical processing of plastic and EUR 2.8 million in expanding operations and job creation.
Janis Lacplesis, chairman of the Latgale SEZ Supervisory Commission, indicated that Pulsar Optics' admission to Latgale SEZ is proof of investors' growing interest in Latgale as an attractive business environment.
Pulsar Optics, registered in 2020, has a share capital of EUR 1 million, according to Firmas.lv.
