Baltic and Polish officials in Daugavpils to discuss plans to strengthen NATO's eastern border
RIGA, Sept 26 (LETA) - On Friday, September 27, the heads of the defense sectors of the Baltic States and Poland will meet in Daugavpils to discuss plans to strengthen NATO's eastern border, the Ministry of Defense informed LETA.
Defense Minister Andris Spruds (Prigressives) will meet Lithuanian Defense Minister Laurynas Kasciunas, Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur and Polish Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense Stanislaw Wziatek.
During the meeting, officials from the Baltic States and Poland will discuss mutual cooperation in strengthening NATO's eastern border. They will also discuss the response to NATO airspace violations by Russian drones, as well as national and collective steps to strengthen the Alliance's airspace, the ministry said.
