RIGA, Sept 19 (LETA) - Over the past week, Covid-19 incidence in Latvia kept rising with Livani and Gulbene municipalities reporting the biggest increase, according to the data from the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).

The biggest rise in Covid-19 incidence was reported in Livani municipality, where incidence increased by 157 percent - from 44 cases to 113 cases. The number of new cases also has doubled in Gulbene municipality - increasing to 119 new cases.

Riga on Sunday reported 5,028 residents who contracted the infection during the past 14 days, which is by 25 percent more than a week ago.

In total, there are 14,187 residents who have reported Covid-19 over the past two weeks.
