Revenue Service advises trucks traveling to Russia to cross the border at Grebneva
RIGA, Oct 15 (LETA) - Truck lines at Terehova border checkpoint have increased this week and the State Revenue Service is asking trucking companies to redirect their vehicles to Grebneva checkpoint, the Revenue Service told LETA.
Terehova checkpoint is currently being reconstructed and waiting times at the checkpoint have increased for trucks traveling from Latvia to Russia.
Truck lines at Terehova checkpoint have increased significantly during the past seven days: on October 8, there were 240 trucks waiting in line at the checkpoint, while this morning there are more than 400 trucks at the checkpoint.
On the other hand, there were no truck lines at Grebneva checkpoint on Thursday, while this morning, only about 30 trucks were waiting at the checkpoint.
Latest information about truck lines and approximate waiting times at border checkpoints is posted twice a day on the Revenue Service's website. This information is also available on the State Border Guard's website.
