Riga, Nov 21 (LETA) - On November 19, the Riga District Court satisfied the claim of municipal public transport company Rigas Satiksme against the former members of the company's board for the recovery of EUR 1.3 million, LETA learned from the court.
The verdict can be appealed to the Regional Court.
The lawsuit was filed against the former members of the board of directors, who worked in the period from 2010 to December 2018. The claim relates to the employment of 16 fictitious consultants.
The claim for alleged employment of fictitious consultants is brought against the company's former Chairman of the Board, Leons Bemhens, as well as former board members Ainars Feldmans, Andrejs Pozarnovs and Inese Svekle, who signed the documents.
As reported, the State Police initiated criminal proceedings on the basis of information provided by the Corruption Prevention Bureau (KNAB) on the alleged fictitious employment of consultants at Rigas Satiksme.
